John H. Juarez Left His Pain Behind

My Father was larger than life and when I told the stories of my father it would cause people to have images of a strong, muscular, tall (in my mind he was larger than life) Mexican. But we was a Teddy Bear. I posted on Facebook that I was with him at 7:15am when he took his final breath so my closest family and and friends would know that he was not alone. He was apart of everyone's life, always helping when he could. For those that knew him, when did he install a ceiling fan, plug, outdoor lighting or even rewired a house? And out of those times when did he change more than the material or the bare minimum if he needed money for himself. He did so much for others, so much so everyone called him Uncle John, even if they weren't family, they had an Uncle John. Within a month he went from working on his beat up 1970 Chevy, trimming trees, cooking dinner and fixing furniture to being bed ridden with stage 4 Lung Cancer. No one ever knows when your time here on Earth will end. I think Dad spent so most of his time caring for others, he kinda forgot to take care for himself. He wasn't a rich man (but rich in sprit), so he never established any Life Insurance. The good thing is his wishes were simple. I have had the pleasure of having him live with us for the last 3 years. We told him it was so we could help him out, but I knew it was to show my family what an amazing man my father was. My family and I had to care for him for the last month and it was the least I could do for my hero, best friend and father. This did, however, hurt us financially (I would do it all over again without blinking an eye, I got that from my Dad) and I would walk through fire to honor his last wishes. This is where I need your help. Dad taught me it's ok to ask for help and if you don't ask for help, you'll never get it. So, I'm asking for everyone's help. Basic services are looking to run about $4,500. This is a basic, and that's what he wanted. But I understand, he wasn't just my family, he's your family too. If there is anything you would like added to the service let me know, but also know I can only provide what we can afford, so please make your donations count. So, for now, please donate. Also, please take the time to leave a special story you might have of my father, John H. Juarez, so I can know him just as you did. Rest in peace Dad. You were and will always be my best friend. You are no longer in pain.
