This is Lucille (Lucy). She is my 20-week-old miniature dachshund. I recently discovered she has a congenital heart anomaly causing a stricture of her esophagus, which prevents her from eating properly. She coughs and has difficulty swallowing, and therefore cannot maintain her weight. She requires specialty surgery and care, and I am asking for assistance with funding to save her life. I have looked into grants and funding, and this is one of the ways suggested to achieve our goals. Her diagnostic care and treatment are almost complete. I cannot schedule her surgery until I can pay at least half of the cost upfront. She will then need follow-up care and treatment. Not to create a sob story, but I have been out of work for eight weeks from an injury at my home and have been on limited income. With the expenses I have incurred with my care and Lucy's care, I am stretched a little thin. I absolutely would never ask if I truly didn't need it. I haven't had this puppy in my life very long, but she has become part of our pack and she means the world to me, my 15-year-old miniature dachshund, Harlow, and my two-year-old miniature dachshund, Griffin.
If you can assist with anything, I would certainly appreciate it.
Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart ❤️
Wendy
