My father, Percy Davis passed away on Saturday; it was very sudden, and nobody was prepared for the emotionally devastating aftermath it would have on our family and those who cared for him. Nobody likes to talk about death before it happens and make plans for it, but we all should. Death brings the tragic emotions of grief, pain and emptiness and bears the mental stress of the financial difficulties of burying your loved one. We want to get our father cremated, have a receiving of friends and have a life celebration hosted in the main chapel with all family and friends present. It will be concluded with a Memorial Service where our father will be buried alongside our mother and grandparents. The entire cost of everything is expected to cost around $12,000.00 The Cremation, usage of the facility for the day to host a receiving of friends, a celebration of life and the Memorial service is sold as a package cost of $9,350.00. The transfer of the body to the funeral home's custody was $1075.00 but has not yet been paid for. There is a fee for digging up the plot of land where his urn will be buried; I do not have current information on the cost of that. Lastly, we need to purchase an urn which will be roughly $300. Any donations will go directly to funding my father's funeral. Our family is extremely grateful for any help we receive, as we cannot cover the expense alone.
