UPDATE: Please continue to share. Y'all are amazing. Thanks all that have reached out, sent condolences, shared and contributed. Just keeping you updated; Joann, Emily and Brooke will be laid to rest this week.  Family is asking for the funeral that people wear bright colors. Country western attire. Teal and turquoise were Joann's favorite colors. We are celebrating their lives.

UPDATE: The funerals are being paid for and casket have generously been donated as well. Viewing for Joann, Emily and Brooke is on Tuesday and funeral will be on Wednesday. The funds still are going directly to the family. They will be used for continued medical for Ryland. Also, for Rihanna for counseling or whatever she needs. Further questions feel free to email me at [email redacted] as I cannot reply to individual comments on here. I will try to keep everyone updated best I can. Thank you all for your continued support and generosity.

A note from the family:

"The Lookingbill family would like to thank each and every one of you who have donated to help Joann,  Emily,  Brooke,  Ryland and Rihanna. We feel blessed to have so many people who care. You all show that there is still good in the world and people that care.  So, thank you for being there in this time of need.  Thank you for all of the prayers. " - Kelly Lookingbill

Spoke with Bob (grandfather) at the hospital: Ryland is stable. Movement in hands and feet. Dalia (grandmother) touched his forehead and his eyebrows moved. All great signs that he is responding. They are continuing to keep him under sedation, but slowly reducing. They had to hold him down and keep him in bed. The Doctor said he's as tough as a Diamond Cutter. He's a little fighter. Surgery on the stomach went well and they were able to reattach his intestine. They believe they have managed to save his arm. Specialist continue to monitor. All hopes are that they will be able to begin closing up in 72 hours and then begin the process of weaning off of life support. We will keep you posted. Doctors, specialist, nurses and staff have been great and rallying around Ryland, excited at all the progress they are seeing. He has a long road of recovery and surgeries ahead. Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and continued support. Keep Ryland and all victims and families in your parayers. God Bless!

ORIGINAL: On Sunday, November 5, 2017, The First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs was struck by tragedy. Twenty- six precious lives were lost, including our beloved Sister-In-Law, my children's Aunt Joann Lookingbill Ward and two of her beautiful daughters (my children's cousins), Emily and Brooke. May they rest in peace knowing their final act on this earth was sitting in the Father’s house. Please keep all that have been affected in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Joann’s step-son, Ryland, is currently fighting for his life after sustaining injuries that have left him and his oldest sister, without their mother and sisters. The family would be grateful for any assistance for these three funerals that should not have to take place and aid to the surviving children. The family has asked that I set up an account for them. Please SHARE. I am in direct contact with the  family. Anyone needing verification, please feel free to contact me. Funds will be deposited to my account, withdrawn and given directly to the family for funeral arrangements or medical, whatever the need. Thank for your support.
