We have been fighting in a judicial system that has been failing my niece and nephew for the past two years. They are currently in a living situation that they are begging to not be in and no one will listen to them.
In 2009 the children were taken from my sister illegally to live 12 miles from Mexico. She had abandoned her schooling, home and vehicles, and fought for 3 years to get them back to our community in Minnesota while facing constant persecution in Texas where they were. It was the hardest time in our lives but we got them home legally.
She presented the case in our community in Minnesota to make sure it would not happen again as advised by her lawyer. They were immediately granted back to Texas custody due to the court system here not being able to evidence from Texas into consideration. We had moved them here as soon as she was able to get the orders to do so and she had only just started over, purchasing a home and solidifying employment. We worked together as a community and family to maintain a business, home, and raise healty, happy, thriving children that was yet again stripped away from our grasp due to the system set in place to protect these children.
For the last two years we have been fighting as a family and community to keep them in their happy home where they beg to be. Each visitation they report abuse and neglect, that we preset to deaf ears, whom are unwilling to listen. Each time they know they need to return to Texas they break down, wish upon stars, say prayers. This last visit in court the children tell me, "Dont worry THIS TIME it will work because I saw a shooting star and God answers prayers." Each time she has to return from court to them to tell their little breaking hearts they cannot stay in Minnesota. The system has yet again failed to protect them , their dreams and wishes are again crushed.
Every dime we raise will go to their defense because we have exhausted all funds from business and many other resources within the family. We believe this time around, we may be able to get them back here due to a team of people whom will be fighting on the best interest of the childs behalf. The children are begging and relying in us to not give up. Please help the children in any way you can...they are so innocent and their hearts deserve to be happy.
