Student Scholarships

FLORA “FLO” IANNARELLI, 56, an education administrator who was working in District 21 at the time of her passing, died November 4, 2023.

Ms. Iannarelli lived in Brooklyn, attended St. Jude Elementary

School and Canarsie HS there, and earned degrees from

Brooklyn College and Long Island University. Family and colleagues said that from the time she was six years old, her purpose and passion in life was educating children and that she was happiest in the classroom, teaching. During her career, Ms. Iannarelli became a teacher, trainer and, eventually, an EA, through which she helped many principals, teachers, and students.

She radiated positivity, joy and good vibes. Her smile and laugh were infectious, and her warmth and caring were always genuine-she truly cared about everybody. If she told you she loved you, she meant it. May Flo’s life be a source of inspiration to live life to the fullest and always try to make the people around you feel good because that is what she would have done.

This Go-Fund Me page has been set up to present eighth grade students with a Scholarship Award at Graduation in Flo’s loving memory. 29 Brooklyn schools in District 21 will receive the scholarship awards for distribution. The Flora Iannarelli Leadership Award and The Flora Iannarelli Literary Award have been established. Any amount donated will be appreciated.
