Marlene Rubain Recovery Fund
Donation protected
You have been gifted the smile, heard the voice, seen the wiggle, and you know Marlene is in the house. Marlene Rubain, a member of the YMCA, a community volunteer for the schools and the OPD. She is a friend who makes soup and helps people move, pack, clean and more, now she needs us.
Unfortunately, Marlene recently broke her arm and both wrists in a bad fall and is recovering from extensive reconstructive surgery. Her ability to use her hands is impaired. She is staying in a rehabilitative care facility, which carries a co-pay, until she is strong enough and able to use one of her hands. When Marlene leaves next week, she must rely on care workers to support her through her recovery. She is a great friend and we can do a lot to ease her healing. Although she has the spiritual support of her family and fellow YMCA community members, she is facing some enormous medical and living expenses, since she is not able to work. Our community goal is to raise the amount of $30,000 for support for her care, rehabilitation and living expenses until she’s back to smiling, wiggling and singing.
When you donate to the Marlene Rubain Recovery Fund, you support her living and her healing, her care and her sustenance. Any funds you can donate will allow our sister to on the road to recovery and back among the community.
Please help us ‘payback’ Marlene for all she has done for us.
