Hi my name is Dawn King. I’m a 42 year old mother of a beautiful 18 year old daughter Kylie,and I have been married to the love of my life Jay for almost 16 years. I am a Certified Pharmacy Technician here in Newfoundland and I absolutely love my job!

As much as I hate to do this, I am literally out of options, so here it goes. Since may of 2025 I have been off work due to multiple health issues. As of today the only thing I know is that I have been having seizures in my sleep, but until I see a Neurologist and have a EEG ( an emergency request was send last July still nothing). I have also been diagnosed with autonomic dysfunction and unknown what has cause this. Due to the lag in our healthcare system , I am literally caught in a limbo I can not return to work or apply for any other government benefits until there has been definite diagnosis. I have been receiving EI sick benefits, but I have been losing $1200 a month for the past year and now my rate has dropped and I’m losing $1400 per month. even with my husband working 2 jobs bills are piling up and with that come stress which is also what I’m supposed to avoid according to my doctor.

I know that times are tough for everyone but ,I would like to try and help temporarily ease the burden so I can focus on what’s important, getting a diagnosis and finding out how to treat it so I can get back to my usual self and the job I loves so much. Do not feel obligated at all but if you can help it would be greatly appreciated.
