Hello,

Not really sure where to start, but since September of 2024 and especially since my stroke in June 2025, I have really been struggling with my mental health. This is really hard to share, but I have been psychiatrically hospitalized nine times since then and my mental health has deteriorated. I have been struggling with suicidal ideation and other severe mental health issues. I got accepted to a long-term residential program in Canterbury, New Hampshire, where they will give me psychiatry, individual therapy, CBT, DBT, and group therapy. Since it is out of state, my state insurance won’t cover any of it (there isn’t a program like it in Vermont; they require a diagnosis of substance use disorder, which I don’t meet). My private insurance company will pay for a lot of it but won’t cover around 30% of the daily rate of over $1,000. My husband has missed a lot of work, I’ve missed a lot of work, and my psychiatrist seems to think that this would be the best option for me moving forward. I would live there and get the treatment I need for at least 30 days. I know that it is a lot to ask, but I thought since I have quite a few people out there who care you could think about helping me if you can. I would really appreciate it. If you can’t, that’s okay too. I really appreciate all your support you’ve given me this year and ask you to continue to keep thinking of me. Thank you.
