Leiomyosarcoma
Our wonderful niece, Jessica Sobieski, needs our help.
Jessica is 42 years old, married for 24 years to the love of her life - Mike Sobieski and has two lovely children - Marek, 20 and Ava, 15.
Jessica recently had a routine hysterectomy. However, to everyone’s horror, In addition to fibroid tumors, her uterus contained a Leiomyosarcoma tumor.
Leiomyosarcoma is a very rare cancer –
only six out of one million U.S. women will be diagnosed with such cancer each year. Due to the rarity of this cancer, there are very few doctors who successfully treat this type of cancer. There is, however, a specialist in New York City (Sloan Kettering Hospital) that has performed research on various sarcomas.
That being said, we want Jessica to have the best medical care possible. Since insurance does not pay for everything (travel expenses, cancer diets, etc.), and, during such treatment, Jessica will not be able to work – this will cause a major financial strain on the family.
We are hoping to raise $50,000 to help Jessica and her family pay for life-saving therapies and beat cancer. We need your help.
