Help Michelle Fight Breast Cancer

Donation protected
Michelle Little, our wonderful, kind-hearted, compassionate, and hard-working mother, was recently diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer in February 2025. Despite yearly mammogram checks and due diligence on her part, the tumor was only found thanks to a self-exam. Having lost her mother to breast cancer when she was only 13 years old, this is a familiar and frightening diagnosis. This comes just less than a year from being diagnosed with blood clots in her lungs, for which she was hospitalized and is now on daily medication for the rest of her life. Michelle has had her fair share of medical struggles, having skin cancer surgically removed from her face in 2022 and also having half of her thyroid removed in 2021 after the discovery of a benign tumor.

A beloved friend, trusted mentor, and incredibly talented gardener/landscape designer, Michelle is a graduate of Hanover High School and received both a bachelors and a masters degree, one from The University of Massachusetts Amherst and the other from Bridgewater State University. She has been working as a licensed clinician providing therapy and comfort to those in the community who need it most. Somehow, she also finds the energy and time to support her family, including her two sons and sister Renee. Michelle's compassion stretches as far as upper Nova Scotia, where she makes sure to visit and check in on her distant family frequently. Mom's passions include camping (which she has instilled in us, her sons), gardening, spending time at the beach, and cuddling up with her #1 fan, Gandalf (our cat).

In short our mom has always tried to be there for others. Whether it was working tirelessly as a single mother to ensure her children had everything they needed growing up, helping those in the community she loves, or lending an ear to those who needed to vent, our mom has always been someone who gives unconditionally. Mom has consistently been generous with her time, volunteering at her son's BoyScouts troop, grief camps for children, and her local church as well. This time, it is her opportunity to receive some support.

Mom has had to take a temporary leave of absence from work while she recovers from surgery and prepares for chemotherapy. This has come as a serious financial blow. On top of not working, her insurance deductibles and co-pays have been extensive and will continue to pile up as she moves forward with treatment. Any donation, no matter the size, will make a huge impact in supporting Michelle and our family at this time. Please consider donating and sharing her story wherever you can.

Thank you, from her sons Michael and Luke.
