49er Ski Club Fundraiser for John Rigoli

Greetings 49er Ski Club members. The 49er Ski Club Board invites you to help our long-time skiing buddy, John Rigoli who had a serious ski accident on February 2 while skiing the bumps on Siberia at Palisades Squaw Valley. John was with other 49ers skiing down the bumps when he caught an edge, picked up speed, and hit a big ice chunk. He did a major tumble and slide, breaking the tibia plateau of his right leg and suffering a minor tear of the Achilles tendon of his left foot. John had surgery on his right leg and has been recovering in a rehabilitation facility in Auburn. Although he has VA benefits to help with medical costs, he will have substantial extra costs for housing and transportation. John has skied with many of us and generously given skiing tips to help us improve and better enjoy skiing. John now has limited mobility and could use some financial help during the many months of recovery.
