Kyle’s Medical Treatment & Recovery

Para los que no lo saben, mi pareja Kyle tuvo un accidente la semana pasada en el que un carro lo atropelló. Desde ese día hemos vivimos momentos de mucha angustia e incertidumbre. A día de hoy él esta estable, aún hospitalizado, esperando ser operado 2 veces más. Recibió un fuerte impacto en su brazo izquierdo y perdió gran parte de su tejido profundo, y ahora deben hacerle un injerto especial y muy costoso.
 
Kyle es un chico que se dedica a trabajar con niños con necesidades especiales y esto le ocurrió mientras se dirigía de trabajar con un paciente al otro.
Lamentablemente el seguro que tenía no cubre todos los gastos de su intervención, y por eso hoy me dirijo a ustedes para que me ayuden a poder llegar a la meta y que pueda ser operado y salir de esta situación lo antes posible.
 
Nosotros somos una pareja que se vino a vivir a los Ángeles hace ya casi un año, y no tenemos familia acá ni otros recursos. Empezamos una vida totalmente de cero y esto ha sido muy difícil conseguir el apoyo financiero que el necesita en este momento. Nuestro objetivo ahora mismo es que Kyle reciba la mejor atención posible para que el accidente deje las menos secuelas posibles, por eso les pido de corazón que nos ayuden a salir de esto, para que así Kyle pueda seguir reincorporarse a su trabajo lo antes posible y podamos continuar con nuestra vida.
 
Obviamente esta no es una situación ideal, pero apenas tenemos alternativas. Cualquier ayuda, por poca que sea, significaría mucho para nosotros.

I'm raising funds to help Kyle get medical treatment after being hit by a car. On September 8, Kyle was skateboarding to his 2nd client of the day and was hit by a car at a high speed . Kyle used his skateboard as a form of transportation because he was still saving up to transport his car from Miami where he’s from. He was admitted to Cedars-Sinai emergency hospital and had to have an emergency surgery in the middle of the night. He suffered severe tissue damage to his elbow that requires multiple surgeries, including a skin graft. He is still in the hospital awaiting further treatment. The doctors are refusing to treat his arm with a skin graft unless he is prepared to pay for the surgery up front. If he is unable to pay, he will have to go home with a severe injury that will take many months to heal and he will not be able to function in the same capacity as before the accident.
 
Kyle is a behavior therapist who works with children with autism. He has touched many lives in a very special way. He recent moved to Los Angeles from Florida with his partner and has no other family here.
