Black Pre-Med Student Conference Fund

Hi everyone! My name is Karsyn Terry and I am a 3rd year studying Integrative Biology at the University of California, Berkeley. I am on the executive board of the Black Students in Health Association, and currently serve as our Events Coordinator. The primary goal of our organization is to provide support, resources, and a source of community for Black students interested in health and/or pursuing health careers. There has never been a conference specifically dedicated to Black students interested in medicine in the Bay Area. Our organization sees a dire need for this event to exist and we need your help!

With the help of my other board members, I am planning a Black Pre-Med Student Conference which will take place on Saturday, March 14th, 2020.  This event serves to bring together Black pre-med undergraduates throughout the Bay Area. The conference aims to 1) expose students to the realities of careers in medicine, 2) create a network and community of Black pre-medical students, and 3) offer various forms of support for navigating the pre-med process.

We are raising money to fund travel costs for our keynote speaker and other medical professionals, transportation for non-UC Berkeley students, and most importantly, resources to give to the students who attend. Please donate to support future Black doctors of the world!
