Fighting for Jaxon

Hello, we are a group of ladies that work with Natasha and wanted to extend some help and support that her family needs right now.

Today we turn to you and seek support for Mitch, Natasha, Maverick and Jaxon.

To the delight of Mitch and Natasha, Maverick welcomed his baby brother Jaxon, February 8, 2022.

On March 16, 2022, not even 2 months old, Jaxon was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia, a rare disease of the liver and bile ducts. A few short days later Jaxon had to undergo a surgical procedure called the Kasai in hopes to help restore the function and passage of the bile flow. Unfortunately this procedure is not always successful and generally warrants a liver transplant at some point in life.

Jaxon is a fighter and was able to go home for a short time after this but complications arose and he was admitted to back to the hospital.

A new diagnoses was added to Jaxon’s history, a very rare form of the genetic disorder called Alagille syndrome.

On July 14, 2022 Jaxon was officially listed for a liver transplant.

Due to complications, and a series of infections Jaxon will remain in the hospital until the transplant takes place. Fortunately Mitch is a compatible donor and will be Jaxon’s donor.

The strain put on this young family is just beyond words. Time spent together is rare and precious, the COVID restrictions make it difficult to be together. Mitch and Maverick visit on the weekends as Mitch is still working. Jaxon’s transplant is tentatively scheduled for September 22, 2022. Mitch will be out of commission for 6-8 weeks as he recovers from this as well.

This incredible, strong family is fighting hard and even through the countless setbacks, complications, infections, tests and pokes Jaxon does not shy away from laughing and smiling.

We ask you to consider supporting this beautiful boy and his family, who has been fighting his whole life so far.
