Hi, my name is Rachel and I have been friends with Bitsy for close to two decade's. My husband, Trevor oddly enough knew Tony before all four of our paths crossed together. Now on to why I created this fundraiser...

Many of us have been following August's heart journey since before he made his debut into this world just over two years ago.

August underwent his 3rd open heart surgery on 11/7/23. For those who may be reading about August's journey for the first time, he was diagnosed with Ebsteins Anomaly in the womb.

The doctors were able to go the route they hoped for on 11/7/23 and August had a cone repair to his Thetricuspid valve and pulmonary valve (if I understand correctly). Although the cone repair was able to happen, this condition can never be corrected. This route would make August's ongoing condition less acute. Hopefully prevent the route of a heart transplant.

August is still in the hospital at Mayo in Rochester, Minnesota. His discharge date is completely unknown. He has had some great strides and some big seatbacks. He now is battling pneumonia and will most likely need surgery again tomorrow, 11/13/23. Details to come.

Bitsy and Tony are completely humble with their requests. With the permission of the Watson family, I am organizing this fundraiser in hopes to find a means to support the family financially while they are needing to stay in Rochester for an unknown amount, driving to and from Rochester to home, and being away from their other two children. The family is being spread extremely thin right now. Please consider supporting this family in any way you may physically or financially can.
