I’m Homeless with a sick baby

Hi my name is Timia guthrie I’m from durham nc and right now I’m currently homeless. I was staying with my dad and step mom until my father put his hands on me for no reason so we left even though they were going to sell the house anyway so no matter what happened I was going to have to find somewhere to go. It was a very toxic environment always. Imagine your starving yourself because your trying to avoid your step mom because of how she is but that’s neither here nor there. Right now the only place we have to stay is the hospital because my son who is 4 months old has a condition called Laryngomalasia so basically his airway is floppy and it folds on itself and he can only take 1 ounce by mouth and the rest by tube. Whenever he eats, milk gets into his airway and then into his lungs so he can’t have a full bottle or he will choke or throw up. He has to get surgery tomorrow to help him eat better. He is getting what is called a G-tube in his belly so all his feeds will now go thru that. Due to our situation it has caused my son to be underweight because he runs out of tubes and and misses his feeds thru the tube so we have to bottle feed him and Medicaid only paid for a 3 each time I get his supplies and mind you since we’ve been here he’s pulled out 30 or more I-g tubes. His father and I are trying our best but right now it’s hard when I’ve exhausted all of my resources. He Ubers to try to make money for hotel room but most of the time it’s not enough. The hospital social worker even is trying her best to help find us somewhere to go because all of the shelters are full and we’ve been placed on ANOTHER waiting list. If we don’t have money for a room we stay in the car and my son needs electricity for his pump. This is so embarrassing that I have to make a gofundme and ask for help but I’m putting my pride to the side and asking. I’m just trying to get a place for my baby or pay for a hotel for enough days where we can be good and to pay for the things we need. So please if you can help me I’m more than grateful even if it’s $1 or $5. I would rather beg for what I need than steal or take it I’m not going to jeopardize my freedom and be taken away from my son. I know many people come up here lying about their situation but I have nothing to gain from lying and trying to scam people (just being honest). I’m not that type of female I’m asking for help so I don’t have to keep putting my son thru this he’s already sick and staying in a car is no place for him. I’ll do anything for my boy and I want him to have the life he deserves. So Thank you to all that help or read my story god bless and be safe everyone
