Support for Shana

Hello. My name is Delishia Porterfield and I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my friend, Shana (Mims) Harrell.

Shana is a devoted wife to her husband, Deonte, and a loving mother to their 2 beautiful daughters, Cassidy and Ava. She is a also a proud TSU and Trevecca alum. On Monday, March 13th, Shana suffered from an unexpected medical emergency. She was rushed to the emergency room and has been in critical condition in a medically induced coma since that time. Sadly, her condition has not improved. At this time she does not have adequate brain functions due to a lack of oxygen to her brain. Unfortunately the damage that was caused is irreversible. Currently, Shana is still in critical condition.

To know Shana is to love her. She is beautiful inside and out and has been a wonderful friend to so many people. Shana would give her last to help others. She had so many dreams and ambitions and it is heartbreaking to know her story is being tragically cut short. It takes a village and we are Shana's village. Many of you have asked how you can help. In addition to medical bills and loss of income, there are a lot of unexpected expenses that have arisen. Please consider donating in honor of Shana. Funds will go directly to her husband, Deonte, for their family expenses.

This type of tragedy would set any family back. We know that Deonte and the girls have a long road ahead of them and we want to provide them with as much support as possible. Shana has always been so full of life and love. Let's take a proton of the love she has gifted us and return it to her family.
