Dear friends and family,
As many of you may know, a couple years ago I moved across the country to pursue my PhD in Neuroscience at Stanford University. While the transition here was by no mean easy, one of my biggest supporters has been my cat, Keeva.
If you have not had the pleasure of meeting Keeva, anyone will tell you that she is the sweetest, most curious, and sociable kitty you will ever meet. Keeva enjoys a tall glass of water (as long as she’s stealing it from you), never missing a sunrise from her favorite window seat, and long walks on the beach. She is truly one of a kind and I would do anything for her.
Last week I came home to find Keeva not herself. She was vomiting uncontrollably and not eating or drinking. Karissa and I rushed her to the ER and they had identified a blockage in her small intestine and in need of surgery.
The surgery was successful and she is recovering well but is sadly in a cone and heavily medicated for the next couple weeks.
Unfortunately, graduate students make just enough money to get by and this expense was unprecedented and I have found myself in financial hardship as a result.
With that being said, I am here humbly asking for your help to fund these medical expenses.
Thank you so much for your consideration and I will be sure to update you all here throughout Keeva’s recovery.
Love,
Massimo and Keeva
