You are invited to make the first annual CultureFest a reality!
This FREE family-oriented event is scheduled for Oct. 8 at the expansive Bellforge Arts Center property in Medfield.
CultureFest started as a seedling of an idea: to create an opportunity for residents in Medfield and surrounding towns to celebrate all different cultures through food, music, dance, activities and more. Bellforge Arts Center and Medfield Together have partnered with a dozen volunteers throughout the town to plan and develop CultureFest, a celebration of diversity.
But we need your support!
Your donation will support outstanding performers, including an Asian lion and dragon dance troupe, a Caribbean steel drummer and a Latin music band, as well as provide opportunities for our younger attendees to experience an African dance workshop, storytelling by Kurt Jackson and music by a Boston youth ensemble. Attendees will enjoy traditional foods from around the world served by food trucks, shop for specialty items and explore services offered by vendors throughout the day.

To bring this vision to life, we are asking for your support. We want to make CultureFest a community event that is funded and supported by the community. Instead of corporate sponsorships, we are asking for donations of any amount from those, like you, who want to build this vision together.

In addition to contributing to the event, every $10 you donate will give you an entry to win one of three prizes valued at $100. Prizes will include food and beverages from our food trucks and various items from our vendors.

Q: How much should I donate?
A: Any amount you are able to donate is appreciated. We believe every dollar counts! And if a donation is not possible, please hit the ‘Share’ button and spread the word about this fundraiser!
Q: Where is the money going?
A: Funds will be directed to Bellforge Arts Center (a registered non-profit). The money will go towards paying the performers, securing food trucks and marketing the event. Donations beyond our goal will support the event or be saved for next year’s CultureFest.
Q: Is my donation tax-deductible?
A: All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law and eligible for company match (be sure to check with your employer). Donations will be collected by Bellforge Arts Center and used specifically for CultureFest.
Q: What is CultureFest?
A: CultureFest is a free, family-friendly festival that aims to bring our community together in celebration of and learning about the customs, traditions, artwork, music, and food of diverse people within and around our town.
Q: Who is holding/hosting CultureFest?
A: CultureFest is hosted by Bellforge Arts Center and Medfield Together. A dozen volunteers have dedicated their time to scheduling performers, finding vendors and planning all the aspects of the day. We couldn’t have done it without the team!
