Brooklyn Dib is the daughter we all want; she is kind, honest, loving, responsible, and hard working. To know Brooklyn is to love her. She is only 20 years old and is a college student, who holds down a fulltime job and volunteers to help those in need. She along with her family have been helping families in need throughout their community during the Covid 19 pandemic. Brooklyn is a huge Disney fan and on the evening of July 9th she wanted to make beignets, just like the ones at Disneyland. Unfortunately, there was a tragic accident when the oil caught fire and exploded as she was trying to remove the pot from the house. Brooklyn then fell to the ground and she was covered with hot oil, which resulted in 2nd and 3rd degree burns over the majority of her body. Currently she is in the hospital burn unit, unrecognizable and bandaged from head to toe. Brooklyn is facing weeks in the hospital, numerous surgeries, physical therapy and months if not years of recovery along with the mental and physical scars that this accident will leave. The bills are already mounting and the financial burden on Brooklyn and her family is a heavy one.
Brooklyn is part of a loving, strong family. Brooklyn’s parents give unconditionally of their time to help anyone in need, whether it be friends or strangers they will always say yes. They have passed these same qualities on to Brooklyn and her siblings. The love from Brooklyn’s family and friends will help her maintain a positive spirit to get through the emotional toll from this accident. However, financially, they are going to need help. This GoFundMe will help Brooklyn pay for the medical bills not covered by insurance and the loss of income due to her inability to currently work. Please find it within your hearts to help Brooklyn out during these trying times and please forward this GoFundMe to anyone that you know. Any and all help is needed, welcomed and appreciated. On behalf of Brooklyn and her family,Thank you!
