My siblings and I are starting this GoFundMe to help raise money for our mother during this difficult time. As some of you may know, our dad, Kevin McDowell passed away on 09/11/2021 from a sudden cardiac arrest in the middle of the night.

All his life Kevin has worked in the oilfield and was the breadwinner for our family. During 2020 and 2021, work in the oilfield declined due to Covid-19. Despite being able to work only a few hitches, it was not enough to make ends meet, so he pulled his retirement to help. Earlier this year when our grandmother passed, our mom pulled her retirement to pay off the debts from our grandmother’s passing.

Our parents did not have enough time to be able to get money set aside for the future, and with our dad gone, our mother does not have money to be able to cover the monthly bills and expenses that our dad had covered; leaving the house that Kevin put years of hard labor and love into at financial risk.
