Doug Walker's Heart Cancer Battle

Doug Walker is a husband, father, grandfather to 3 precious children, son, brother and friend.  He was recently hospitalized with a tumor in his heart, which required surgery to remove.  After a biopsy was done, it was found to be cancerous.  More testing revealed that the cancer has metastasized throughout his body.  He was recently life-lighted to a hospital in Pittsburgh and it was revealed that in less than three months, additional tumors had grown back into his heart.  He is now waiting for approval to begin chemotherapy treatments.  Up until this time, he had enjoyed a healthy lifestyle.  His hobbies include shooting archery, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family.  Just living life to the full!  His local cancer treatment center would not treat him, due to the rarity of his diagnosis.  This will require out-of-town travel, food, gas, hotel, not to mention the loss of work for both he and his wife, who is a full-time caregiver.
