Family in need of a hand

Hello! I'd like to tell you the story of our last 2 years. 8/14/23 I was burned over 30%+ of my body. It has altered most every manner in which I use my hands and my body. It took me almost a year to even be able to TRY to even type again. That is still, in fact, a challenge due to how my hands were burnt.

On 9/13/23 my wife was admitted to the hospital with gram negative ecoli sepsis. The infection she had and the intensity of it had 50/50 odds she would survive.

On 6/3/2024 my wife was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia and sepsis. Even though she survived 9/23 - her body never fully recovered. When she was released after a week she still wasn't "right".

After a very sick and miserable summer my wife was rushed to the hospital on 9/25/24. As they were admitting her to the ICU she proceeded to code a total of 8 times with 5 of them being a total flatline. With prayer and the grace of God she survived. She has been unable to work since and struggles everyday to heal and recover. After the events of 9&10/24 and being 3x septic - she just isn't "right" with her anxiety and mentation. I have been living taking care of her and supporting us.

5/5/25 I blew out the tendons in my right bicep, triceps, tore muscles from my chest, tore my deltoid, and was told I need a total shoulder replacement.

On 6/25/25 I was admitted to the ICU from passing black tar stool. Upon admission I began vomiting large amounts of blood and having repeated gran mal seizures from massive blood loss. To save me they put me into a medically induced coma, intubated me, and determined the source and size of a 30x30mm ulcer and eroded blood vessel. Turns out the stress, fear, and burden of the previous 2 years had taken its toll on me.

What I'm asking for is help and time. I have our life pared down a LOT, but this last bout of sickness has just set us back more than I can catch up on my own. I have been looking for a work from home job so I can be available to care for my wife but keep striking out. I've sustained us with Door Dash. After I blew out my arm I put a steering ball in my car to be able to drive with 1 hand. I have 0 stamina. Due to my ulcer and bleeding I now won't be able to get my shoulder replaced until next year.

I am sorry to beg but it has been SO many hits. We are going to be selling our house but need to tend to a few things to get it market ready. We've been blessed and lucky to come through SO much - it has just been SO MUCH.

Please don't think less of me for asking for help. I've been working SO hard. I just need a little time of being able to let my body recover and heal past this dangerous time with my ulcer/bleeding. Tanya has been denied disability which means it will just take more time for her to get through the process to get it.

We appreciate ANYTHING anyone can offer. I hope you all never experience a run of health and suffering comparable to what Tanya and I have endured. We can't WAIT to have life balance a bit so we can get back to helping others instead of needing help for us.
