Hi, my name is Cindy, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help. After the devastating loss of our beloved family dog of thirteen years last year in June, I was left with a huge hole in my heart. In December, I decided to bring a new puppy into my life, hoping to fill that emptiness. I found a couple that could no longer care for their 2 month old puppy, who was lovely and sweet and was perfect for my family and I. The couple were driving down to Brisbane from Gladstone but on the journey down at a pit stop, she had a minor injury and the couple had decided to surrender her to the RSPCA. However, this was when we stepped in believing that with a little love and care, she would heal quickly.

But life had other plans. Now, at just six months old, my puppy has been diagnosed with elbow incongruity— a painful condition where one of her front leg bones has stopped growing properly, leaving her in constant pain. To give her the chance to live without this pain, she needs surgery to correct the issue, which involves cutting her ulna bone. If this isn’t done, she will continue to suffer.

This surgery is an unexpected financial burden that I can’t bear on my own. My pet insurance will not cover this illness, and the only other alternative is to have the leg amputated. I’m doing everything I can to help her, but I need your support. If you can find it in your heart to donate, it would mean the world to me and my sweet puppy.
