*UPDATE 15/11*
First and foremost, we can’t say thank you enough to anyone who has contributed, this has taken a huge weight off of both my own & my mums shoulders.
Digger’s surgery was a success, his spleen was removed and no other cancers could be seen in surrounding areas, he is recovering well. His chemotherapy journey has begun, his first session was Monday 6th November, and his second session was Friday 10th of November, he seems to be coping well, even visiting the SAPOL office again last week (pic below), but lots of sleeping is required. He will now require this treatment every 2 weeks until the vets see an improvement.
Due to the nature of the chemotherapy, Digger is required to spend 4 nights at the veterinary clinic post treatment, which of course means extremely expensive vet bills, the last bill was sitting at just over $1,100. We will be leaving the fundraiser live for anyone who wishes to donate at a later date, we never expected so much support from so many people so truly thank you, we appreciate all of you immensely. I will continue to update on his progress as we move through the treatments xx

—————————————————
Unfortunately last week our sweet greyhound, Digger, was diagnosed with lymphoma, a cancer that has been caused by a mass on his spleen. Digger will be going into surgery on Tuesday morning, 24th October, to attempt to remove the mass, and providing the surgery is successful, he will then have to undergo a round of chemotherapy, as without this he has been given 4-6 weeks of life left, which is absolutely devastating.
I’m creating this fund on behalf of my mum, as a way to possibly provide some sort of financial support, as the veterinary bills are already putting pressure on the both of us. This is not something comfortable for us to create/ask for, but we want to do everything we can for a dog & best friend that has supported us both through many hardships over the years, pet owners are always biased, but Diggy is such a gorgeous, gentle, loving boy, anyone who has met him will be familiar with his beautiful nature, it would be absolutely heartbreaking to lose him too soon. Any support is greatly appreciated, big or small.
Thank you xx
