Thank you everyone for clicking the link. I’m Kimberly, Patti’s daughter. This past May, my mom received some surprising news and was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Since then things have been a bit of an up-hill battle. The unexpected always seems to creep in at the most inconvenient times and the pandemic has made things more difficult to navigate. Between appointments, transportation, and taking things “day by day” my mom has remained positive and humble.

As expected my mom has started her chemotherapy treatments. We are happy to say they are effective and our goal is to shrink her tumor before surgery for a mastectomy. With her immunity to sickness persisting, it has become difficult to visit and physically help care for her. If there are signs of even the common cold my mom cannot receive chemo. Chemo has taken such a toll that my mom is too sick to work and added stress of keeping a home and medical bills plays on her mind daily. I am hoping to be able to help her as much as possibly so she can focus on healing. I respectfully ask to keep this private as my mom has asked for nothing but prayer at this time- but I have decided to reach out to only help her.

If anything else I am doing this to raise awareness and education. Any help is appreciated, but please - most importantly- put your health first. Schedule your annual exams. See your doctor. Speak up. Don’t ignore your body. The habit of “this will never happen to me” needs to end. Together we can keep fighting.

All proceeds will go directly to Patti for treatments, travel, stay, surgery at John’s Hopkins Cancer Center, utilities and rent. Anything not used to cover these expenses will go to the Susan G. Komen foundation.
