My dear little brother Stephen was driving with two friends (who were brothers) on their way back to BYU when they had a tragic accident in Colorado, only one state away from their destination. Stephen and his friend were killed in the accident, and the other friend is in the hospital expected to recover.

No mother plans to have to bury her healthy son so we don't have the money necessary for a funeral and are in need of help with the expenses. Along with normal funeral costs we also have to fly him home to Virginia which adds a significant expense.

Stephen had a big heart and was always happy to help anyone in need. His goofy nature and infectious smile could make anyone happy. We are devastated at his loss and he will be dearly missed by many.

We love you all and it has been heartwarming for all of us to see how much Stephen was loved in his short time on earth.
