Hi friends- I need y'alls help please! I had my gall bladder removed May 21, that surgery was a success and the             surgeon noticed some gall stones in my common bile duct that needed to be removed. On May 25 I went in for the second procedure and it went terribly wrong. I was in the ER the next morning in raging pain. They diagnosed me    with pancreatitis. I spent 3 nights in St. Luke's WR before being transferred to Boise by ambulance. Unfortunately it was the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and I didn't receive proper care until the following Tuesday when all      the hospital folks came back after the holiday weekend. My Mom flew in from Georgia and has been with me since   that Saturday. I basically was high on morphine with 2 IV's in each arm for 7 days until I went in for another CT   scan which showed an infection of my abdominal fluids...finally we knew what was going on, this wasn't only a case  of  pancreatitis. The pain and discomfort were so bad there were days I didn't know if I could, or want to fight to       live through another day - even with morphine on remote control. Finally on Friday June 4, I got tubing installed in my   abdomen to pull the infected fluids into a bag which hangs off my clothing. We got to come home Tuesday June 8,  but with so little instruction of what to eat and how to deal with my issues at home I was right back in the ER Wednesday. Back to Boise by ambulance for another 3 night stay at the Meridian location. They increased the tube size   and cleaned my abdomen out. By some miracle, finally my white blood cell count came back to normal so we got to come home Saturday June 12. That's a total of 16 days in the hospital. The mistake the surgeon made was perforating my duodenum which is part of the intestines. He said he got all the gall stones out.....
I was two weeks into my new job as a mortgage loan originator and had been serving at Barrio a few nights a week-   living pay check to pay check since I used all my savings because of Covid, job losses, health and other personal setbacks. I've had a helluva year and could use y'alls help to pay my mortgage, bills and medical bills. And because I have no idea how long this recovery will take or how long the  drain will be in. The silver lining is, as soon as I'm able, that I can work from home now doing the mortgage job. I appreciate any amount you can donate and look forward to getting my life back and hopefully   enjoying some of summertime....Namaste
