We are the 1988 Dallas Carter Cowboys football team & Texas state champions. We have come up with a way to honor our head coach, Freddie L. James, a living legend with a scholarship the bears his name. This is our 3rd year running & we will continue this effort for years to come. We give away three scholarships each year to senior football players @ Carter High School who did not receive an academic or athletic scholarship & possesses the drive to further their education. The awardees are chosen by a panel (coach, counselor, asst. principal) who are in contact with the student athletes on a regular basis.

It's our way of sowing seeds back into our beloved Oak Cliff communtiy & showing that we care.

We will be giving the awardees their scholarships in mid-May & would love if you would show your appreciation, love & support for Coach James, the kids & our school/community with a donation. No donation is too small or large. 100% of the donations go toward the scholarships.
