"Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping." -Fred Rogers
My name is Alison. I hope none of you find yourself having to ask for donations to support your friend of almost 40 years navigate her way through a terminal stage 4 metastatic pancreatic cancer diagnosis. If you do, I hope you have faith in the givers of this world, like I do.
Pamela was diagnosed just before Christmas 2024. This cancer gets a hold of you before you even know you are sick. One day you have a stomach ache, and the next day you are told you may have 6 months up to 5 years to live. We are hoping she is a “unicorn” and lives even longer! If you know Pam, you know she is certainly special!
Pamela has a great career she loves. She is a federal employee who helps Veterans get the benefits they deserve. She is continuing to work as much as she can through her treatments. It is becoming increasingly difficult. She has neuropathy in her fingers, a chemo brain fog, back pain from a tumor on a nerve, loss of appetite, and fatigue.
All funds donated will be used to pay living expenses while Pam uses her 12 weeks of unpaid FMLA provided by the Federal Government. By utilizing her FMLA, Pam will maintain her benefits while she pursues disability.
So, if you can give, please give.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
