Hi my name is Sheila, in July of last year I turned 65. Got on Medicare and the co pay for my RA medication went from $0 to $2 899. That’s a little over $34,000 a year. We just can’t afford that. My doctors , my husband and I have tried every organization there is . They either don’t have any more funding available or they don’t help people with Medicare. Our government doesn’t allow the manufacturer to give me a discounted price. I have not had a injection since July 2022. The medication stays in your body for 2 to 3 months.

Right at 2 1/2 months I started having severe pain and balance problems and falling a lot. It quickly progressed to not being able to use my arms and hands. I can not roll over in bed or sit up in bed without help. I can't even dress myself ,put makeup on or dry my hair. Showers are difficult and dangerous. My doctors have tried numerous medications. The only thing that works for me are biologically. They are very expensive and all of them are around the same co pay.

I’ve had so many test 3 MRI’s seen 2 different neurologist and they can’t find any thing wrong me except RA

Ive always been very active. Running and playing with my Grandchildren . Gardening , Even with RA as long as I was on Humira or CIMZIA I could any thing I wanted without it I’m totally dependent on my husband and children.

The pain some days is just almost unbearable.

This is the only reason I’m asking for help .I want my life back. I want to run and play with my sweet Grandbabies , plant flowers , and now the lawn . Most of all I don’t want my family to worry about me any more. Thank you , Sheila
