Support for Jessica

Hello, my name is Cheryl Borgfjord, I am putting together this Go-Fund-Me for my long-time groomer and friend Jessica, who has been diagnosed with acute leukemia. She is now in Vancouver receiving intensive chemotherapy treatments and when she is done, she will be needing to remain in Vancouver for monitoring and further medical treatments at least for another four months.

I have gotten to know Jessica over the years, bringing my mess of dogs to "Dog Gone Grooming", which she has owned for over 10 years and in my humble opinion, has offered excellent grooming services at very reasonable rates.

She came to Powell River from Vancouver and has set deep roots here in our community. Her love for animals and clientele has stood out so much for me, and I just really want to help her out in any way possible.

She has a business to keep afloat, which has been kept running with the amazing help of Lou Ann, who has been absolutely fantastic. She also has a mortgage and pad rental, as well as monthly living expenses and now the added extra expense of finding a place to stay while in Vancouver, all of this while working sporadically over the last few months has been a struggle and stress for her I'm sure.

I just really am hoping that with all of your help, loving hearts and kind donations that we can in any small way alleviate some of the financial constraints that unfortunately do not pause for illness ~ so that she can focus on recovering and getting strong.

As she is midway into her chemo treatments, she will be needing to find accommodation and maintain living expenses very soon while in the city.

I would like to thank you all tremendously in advance for anything you can offer to assist Jessica, as she is the type of person that has worked hard and done it on her own, but sometimes we just need the uplifting, kind support of friends and family.
