Hi friends.
As many of you know, my youngest dog, Kai, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma last year. In November, he had surgery to remove a tumor on his paw. What was supposed to be a minor surgery to remove a few toes turned into something much bigger when the tumor ended up being more extensive than expected, and Kai ultimately lost his left front paw.
To give Kai the best possible chance at a longer, happier, pain-free life, his surgeon recommended a series of 6 chemotherapy treatments. Kai has already completed 3 treatments so far. Kai tolerated his first two sessions well, experiencing little to no side effects.
Unfortunately, Kai experienced serious side effects after his third session, resulting in hospitalization at an ER vet to monitor and prevent his health from declining further.
Asking for help doesn’t come easily, but I want to give Kai every chance to fight. Kai truly means the world to me. He has continuously shown me just how strong and resilient he is, and I want to keep fighting alongside him.
I’m humbly asking for your support through this difficult time.
Anything you are able to contribute, whether it is through donating, sharing this page, or keeping Kai in your thoughts, means more to me than I can say. Thank you so much for supporting us through this.
