My mother, Cindy, was suddenly and recently diagnosed with stage 3 invasive melanoma. The same cancer that took her father away at a young age. She’s a loving mother and grandmother to two sweet grand babies. She loves horseback riding and loves doing hair and making people feel beautiful and confident. She has worked so hard to build her own business for 25 years as the owner of Trends and Traditions Beauty Salon in our tiny home town. They gave her two options of treatment. Due to other medical conditions and being immunocompromised, she is unable to tolerate immunotherapy so the only other option to target this specific cancer is oral chemo medication in which she has had severe side effects including a decrease in heart function only after 2 weeks of treatment. With that being said, she’s very sick and unable to work much causing a strain financially at home and to pay to keep her business afloat. She is a go-getter, a busy body, and a fighter and it’s really tough on her being so sick right now. She has mentioned time and time again “ I just can’t lose my salon”. This is why I’m here to help in any way I can to make her wishes come true and to help her during this time fighting cancer so she doesn’t have to worry so much about bills, medical expenses, or her business doors closing. If you can donate, it would be deeply appreciated. Thank you.
