Kingston Brass, A Journey To NABBA

Founded in 2016, The Kingston Brass Choir (KBC) is a 10 piece brass ensemble committed to providing audiences with exciting and engaging repertoire that spans a multitude of genres, appealing to music lovers young and old. The Kingston Brass is made up of accomplished brass players from across Canada who now reside in the Greater Toronto Area. This year, the Kingston Brass headed south of the border to compete at the 2017 North American Brass Band (NABBA) Championships, where their world premiere performance of a brand new Canadian composition landed them second place in the 10 piece Ensemble category. This year, we would love your support on our road back the NABBA 2018 this coming April as we prepare to go for first! As one of very few brass ensembles in Canada we really like to highlight what great composers we have here in this country. Last year we premiered a brand new piece by Ty Watson (Juno 1944) a Toronto based teacher, musician and composer. This year we are going to premiere another new piece by a local composer, trombone player and Salvationist Len Ballantine. All of these things add up and we are looking to you our friends, family, co workers, and fellow Musicians to help us get there. Anything helps and we appreciate it a lot. Thank you in advance for your support.
