Represent Ottawa at Litman wedding
Donation protected
News of the recent tragedies has left many of us feeling hopeless, wanting to do something to help, yet unsure where to begin.
Yet, in moments of despair, we find inspiration.
Rohr CSN wants to make a difference, and we'd like the entire Ottawa Campus Community ( including donors and alumni) to partake.
Our brothers and sisters in Israel are facing the most terrible of times. Stabbings, rock throwing and shootings are now daily occurrences, including today's murder of 21-year-old Hadar Buchris hy"d.
Last week, the Litman family was driving to a Shabbat Chatan, (ceremony before the wedding), when terrorists overtook their car and in a brutal drive-by shooting murdered Rabbi Litman and his son Netanel OBM.
On what was supposed to be the happiest week of their lives, Sarah Litman and her fiancé Ariel are now without a dear father and brother. The wedding will go on, the young couple will dance and celebrate with tears of joy and sadness.
Below is their public message, their open wedding invitation :
“Don’t make our enemies happy. We fell, we got up, with God’s help, our wedding will take place next Thursday, 26 November, 14 Kislev, at Binyanei Hauma in Jerusalem. The Nation of Israel is invited to get up from the dust and rejoice with us..."
Here is your part: We are raising money for a representative to go to Israel from the Ottawa Campus Community. To dance and sing in solidarity and unity at the Litman wedding next week.
That representative could be you.
Each person that contributes $18 or more, will be entered in a drawing to fly to Israel and represent Ottawa. Even if you are not a student, please help the cause by donating. The raffle is not only for students.
Any money raised above the cost of the ticket will be sent along with the winner as a wedding gift to this special young couple. The winner will be drawn this Tuesday, Nov 24th. The return date for the ticket is up to the winner. If you win but can't travel yourself you can choose your replacement.
Thank you for participating and please spread the word!!!
May we see the coming of Moshiach now when all tears will be dried away and all evil will be banished from this world!
