My husband is diabetic and has had an ulcerated foot for over a year.  He has been battling one infection after another with no results.  The infection has now gone into his bone, according to his doctors.  The only resolution to this is to amputate 1/2 of his foot.  We are hoping that this will take care of the infection and no further amputations will be necessary.  However, he will be out of work for at lest 8 weeks, during which time, my income and his disability will be the only income we will have.  I've gone over the numbers and we just won't be able to pay our rent, utlities, food, and other expenses with this.  His medical bills from all the treatments already is over $4,000.  His medical insurance doesn't cover everything.  I don't know what to do.  We need help and I don't know where to turn to.   I am hoping that my friends and family can help us.  We are in desperate need of at least $8,000.  This should help us with the upcoming medical expenses.  I have never asked for help in the past but need it now.
