Hi everyone, my friend Dayna Reed’s Chinook RV, also his home on wheels, is in need of significant repairs. Transmission and differential problems. Dayna, who is 69; has been living in his RV full since 2020. A Vet, friend, artist, and pretty good disc golf player, expensive repairs have him laid up in southern Florida.
Beginning in 1992, Dayna owned and operated a small buiness that made signs. Unfortunately, after slowly recovering from the 2008 recession, COVID, put an end to this business.
Dayna’s only alternative was to sell everything to settle some debt, and move into his Chinook RV. He lives on $660/month Social Security. With the cost of gas, he is only able to travel small distances at a time, making a “loop” around the country once a year. Staying south in the winter and moving north in the summer. Yeah, it sounds great, a romantic idea, live in your RV and travel the country. But when your forced to, not able to afford any type of apartment, it is a little more edgy. Then there is a breakdown and and you end up stranded.
With the current vehicle breakdown, a repair shop has offered to let him park and stay there for a bit. An arrangement that certainly wont last long. We’re now working on raising the money so he can repair his RV/home and get back on the road.
Hopefully, you’ll add some money to this and we can take care of this problem.
Thanks
