Bringing ShawnDavid Home on Hospice

Shawn David’s final wish is to come home to Missouri from Georgia on hospice.  ShawnDavid is 17.  

David has fought Congestive Heart Failure for almost two years.  On March 14, his family was told that he is not eligible for a heart transplant and his LVAD was no longer functioning.  The doctors advised David and his mom, Shanna, of the end of life options and David chose to come home to Missouri and enter hospice.  

On March 16th, the doctors did a procedure that could buy David more weeks of life.  The family needs help.  The funds raised will be used to find housing for his final days and expenses at the end of life.  

David has requested that his eyes be donated at the end of life.  What a beautiful gift he will be leaving.  

If you know someone who has a 1-3 bedroom apartment or home in Mid-Missouri that is empty and if  the family could stay at, please let us know.  The family plans on traveling to Missouri on March 25th.  This is an urgent need to secure housing and funds.   Please share about David’s need.
