Xavier’s Medical Fund

Hi everyone. My name is Kenzie Irwin & I started this fundraiser as we had an extremely tragic accident happen this past Thursday. This past Thursday, August 17, Ethan’s little brother, Xavier, was in a horrible accident. He was riding his bike to work when he was hit by a vehicle. He was initially treated in the ER at Altru and was airlifted to Sanford in Fargo. Xavier suffered a brain bleed that required emergent surgery that night to relieve the pressure and swelling of his brain. Surgery went as good as it could have and he was transferred to the pediatric icu in Fargo. He was heavily sedated and kept comfortable with a breathing tube. He underwent many scans to continue monitoring his head and neck for any missed or worsening injuries. He does have a few other skull fractures, and a fractured sinus cavity as well. He has since made huge strides in the last couple day, surprising everyone, but still has quite the road ahead of him. He is awake and stable. He is working with therapy to regain strength. He is making progress each day and we hope and pray this continues. Ethan’s mom, and his step dad have been staying with Xavier around the clock in Fargo. We are not sure what the exact plan will be for him at this time, but know he does need to be transferred to an inpatient rehabilitation facility. He will also need to have another surgery to repair the brain. We are asking for continued prayers especially for Xavier, and any donations would be sincerely appreciated.
