I am asking for help and support for my dear friend, Anastasia Harrison, who has been diagnosed with Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer. Anastasia is a beautiful vibrant 30-year-old single mother of an equally beautiful 8-year-old daughter.

Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer is a rare and aggressive form of thyroid cancer that accounts for 1-2% of all thyroid cancer cases. Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer is the most dangerous type of thyroid cancer due to its aggressive nature and its resistance to treatment. It can grow and spread quickly, often within weeks. Anastasia's cancer initially appeared as a small lump on her neck approximately one month ago. Within this short time frame, the cancer has progressed rapidly. It has expanded from a minor lump to completely surrounding her neck, thyroid, lymph nodes, and has now encircled her carotid and jugular vein, rendering surgical intervention unfeasible. Additionally, Anastasia's latest PET scan revealed the presence of a lesion on her pelvis.

Anastasia is unable to work is currently undergoing treatment. She will have to remain at the University of Iowa Hospital and Hope Lodge Cancer Center for an undetermined amount of time for further cancer treatments. Due to the high medical expenses and inability to work, she is struggling to cover the costs of treatment.

As her close friend, I can attest to how this illness has impacted her and her daughter's life. Anastasia is facing a very difficult and challenging time ahead. Your support in this challenging time would make a significant difference in her journey toward recovery.
