A little help goes a long way ❤️

As some of you may know, over the last 4 years, I have had multiple surgeries on both of my shoulders and on my left eye. The two procedures I had on my left eye have unfortunately left me blind in that eye. Over the last year and a half, I have used and borrowed so much PTO that I had a negative amount of hours that needed to be paid back. Since then, my work doesn’t allow us to borrow PTO anymore.

On April 25th, I am set to have surgery on my right eye, the only eye I’m able to see out of. This surgery has the potential to keep me out of work for up to two months because I will be mostly blind as I (hopefully) regain my vision. With that being said, Brian and I unfortunately won’t be able to make ends meet with his paycheck alone.

I have fought with the idea of starting a GoFundMe; I have been back and forth on it. I have looked into other options through my work, none of which have accepted me, and I don’t have short-term disability. We are still trying to look into other options.

With that being said, we’re leaning on the hope that maybe our friends and family may be able to help us out. Brian and I each split most of our bills in half, and I have some of my own as well. So, I have calculated the goal amount based on what I pay a month, times two because of the possibility of being out for up to two months. On top of our bills, I will have medical bills, and I will have to continue paying for my insurance through work out of pocket. Any amount is appreciated more than you could ever know.
