A Mother's Love: InMemoryOfSweetpea

The sudden death of my beloved cousin sent shockwaves through our entire family and friends. Dawn-Tra 'Sweetpea' Fullington passed away from a catastrophic stroke that left her brain dead at 5pm Friday, September 15, 2017. While in the process of preserving her organs for donation her beautiful heart stopped at 8:21 pm Saturday, September 16, 2017 and just like that she was completely ripped from her entire family and her one and only daughter Dawn-Jane 'Pooh' and who's pain is indescribable. If you knew Sweetpea then you knew how much she loved, cherished and adored her daughter. Being right by her side when she gave birth to a beautiful 9 lbs 22inches baby girl is when I seen Sweetpea fall in love with Pooh. As a single mother, Sweetpea gave Pooh everything she needed and wanted, even though it was her last. If she did not have it to give, she found a way for her child to have. Sweetpea made sure her daughter wanted for nothing. Sweetpea worked so hard this last year to make sure Pooh graduated from high school and went off to college. She was such a proud mother when her daughter got accepted to Bethune Cookman University in Daytona Florida. Sweetpea talked about Pooh everyday all day when she was getting ready to go to school and while Pooh was in school. Words can't describe how excited Sweetpea was. She loved Pooh so much that Sweetpea wanted more in life for Pooh. She wanted Pooh to be better than her. Dawn-Janae was one of Sweetpea's greatest accomplishments and the other accomplishment was making sure she went to college and she was going to make sure that her daughter finishes. With her sudden departure I refuse to let my cousin's hard-work and accomplishments fall to the waste side. They always say it takes a village to raise a child. Now it's time for that village to step up and raise this very beautiful and intelligent young lady. I am asking all of Sweetpea's family and friends to help by giving A Mother's Love donation In Memory of Sweetpea, which is a monetary donation. Donations will go towards Dawn-Jane's school expenses for 4 years, which includes tuition, room and board, books, school supplies and traveling to and from Daytona Fl. A small percentage of the donations will go towards Sweetpea's funeral costs. During this time our family was not expecting to be planning a funeral nor trying to figure out how we are going get Dawn-Janae through school financially and making she has what she needs. Dawn-Jane has always loved school. I remember one day Sweetpea, Pooh and myself overslept and she woke up and was late for school. Dawn-Janae was crying hysterically, very upset with Sweetpea and I and talking to us like we were the children and she was the adult. Both me and Sweetpea looking at each other like "Who is this?!" LOL! From that day on we made sure she was never late again and realized how much Pooh enjoyed school and that was when she was in elementary school. Pooh is very adamant about finishing school and as her support system I hope we all can be here for her and make sure that she finishes. You don't have to be a millionaire to donate a financial gift of love, any amount would help. Again I am asking all of Sweetpea's family and friends to donate to help continue what Sweetpea has started. Thank you for your gifts of loveYarné
