To know Floyd Chacon is to love him. He has always had a kind heart and been the first to step up and help others. He always has a smile on his face and makes his friends and family laugh daily.

Floyd has recently been diagnosed with AML, an aggressive and rare type of Leukemia. He has been admitted into the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, UT for at least 1-2 months for his initial visit. After he is released from this stay, he will still have to travel back and forth to Huntsman each month for more treatments. As you know, Floyd and his family live 4 hours away in Springcreek, NV. They also have to pay for housing while they are in Salt Lake City.

Floyd has always been the sole provider for his family. He will not be able to work for several months while he undergoes treatment. His wife, Cassandra, will need to be with Floyd providing care. This was a complete shock for their family, and we want financial burden to be their last concern. Right now they need to focus on beating cancer.

Floyd and Cassandra have been married for 25 years. They have 6 wonderful children.
