Emergency Relief for the People of Afghanistan

Hello- I am setting up this Go Fund Me on behalf of a dear friend who is a former United Nations rule of law consultant in Afghanistan working in his private capacity to evacuate Afghan colleagues in danger. He and a team of other professionals are working endless hours, around the clock, and with connections on the ground for the safe evacuation of human rights advocates, journalists, rule of law professionals (judges, lawyers, prosecutors, and investigators, many who prosecuted the Taliban), ethnic and religious minorities, and government employees. Majority of whom are women professionals and their families.

 

The funds will be spent on basic necessities like rent, food, toiletries, and health care. They have lost their livelihoods because they are being targeted for their past work and are in hiding as they await evacuation.
