Dear friends of Rowley [Rollie James "Jimboy" Paca], Rollie has been in and out of hospitals for a while now battling with congestive heart failure. He was admitted again in MPGH and was rushed to CUMC in CdeO last Saturday, 9 September 2017. He was intubated to support his irregular breathing and was admitted in the ICU. Thankfully, he has been extubated yesterday and is now out of the ICU, conscious and stable. He is still in the hospital for continued medication. Rollie requires a heart transplant; however, it will not be immediate. Once he will be fit to travel, he will be brought to Manila so he can get an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator [ICD], a device that will keep track of his heart rate and capable of correcting abnormal heart rhythms. The ICD cost is extremely expensive. Rollie lost his brother Bumbah to the same disease just recently [August 2017]. We are doing all that we can to support Rollie's condition and give him a chance to receive the transplant and live a normal life again.
