Teanne's Hodgkin's Lymphoma Fund

Teanne started off a colleague of mine working in the ER as a travel nurse. Her shy personality became a mission for me to invade her space and make her my buddy whether she liked it or not. She couldn't resist my goofiness and we soon became inseparable. Girl's nights turned into Cancun trips and we formed a sisterhood full of memories over the years. She eventually took an assignment in Houston where she now lives permanently and continues to serve the population working in healthcare and continuing her career goals towards becoming an NP.
     Four months ago she noticed a lump in her left supraclavicular area that up until last week has been slowly growing. After undergoing a surgical biopsy and PET scan, she is now formally diagnosed with Classic Hodgkin's Lymphoma- nodular sclerosis subtype- Bulky Stage II disease. This 33 year old is up for the fight of her life that includes all the medical expenses related to port placement, chemo, echocardiograms, PFTs,  oocyte cryopreservation, and shopping for that perfect wig ;) Her family also lives in Kansas and will have lots of travel expenses. I love her to pieces and know so many others share their own version of how they came to adore Teanne. #cancersucks
