"And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your mind in Jesus Christ." Philippians 4:7
We may never understand God's purpose for our lives, or why some's time here on Earth is so much more brief than others, but in this painful and sorrowful time in our lives, we must cling to God. We must have faith that he is a loving God with a divine plan for each of us - no matter how tiny or short their time on Earth, and while this loss is beyond any comprehension of the human mind, God's grace will provide comfort and healing.
My name is Jade, and I am setting up this account on behalf of my sister-in-law Alyssa and her husband Dustin. They are two of the most caring and considerate people I know and they have been faced with an unimaginable tragedy. Alyssa gave birth to a tiny but perfect baby boy on November 4, 2015, at just 27 weeks 4 days gestation. Mack Thomas Simmons weighed in at 1 pound 15 ounces but came out ready to fight. He was the rock star of the NICU, gaining strides each day and working his way towards coming home. He even gained up to 2lbs 2oz in less than 2 weeks. But even though he was such a fighter, Mack's little body just couldn't keep up the demands of life outside of the womb. Alyssa and Dustin made the devastatingly difficult choice to end his suffering and let him go peacefully to be with the Lord on November 19, 2015.
Your donations will be used to cover medical expenses incurred in the 15 days that Mack spent in the NICU, and funeral costs, so that these grieving parents can focus their thoughts on God our father and mending their broken hearts. Anything over the cost of these expenses will be donated to the March of Dimes, who works closely with the River Oaks NICU that took such wonderful care of our little Miracle Mack.
Thank you so much for your donations. We truly appreciate you at this difficult time in our lives. God Bless.
