Hi my name is Monica, I have a rare disease called spinocerebellar ataxia type 1 and 8. I need a service dog to help move around easier, but a service dog that is very expensive and I need your help. I am hoping to raise enough money to pay for her pet bills. My doctor said I cannot use a walker or a cane because it hinders instead of helps, since I have to use extra balance to bring the device with me. This type of ataxia is not a symptom, it is permanent. This disease attacks my cerebella (that controls my balance, coordination, and sequential movements). This disease actually makes that part of my brain shrink.
